No organisation has escaped disruption from the pandemic. Organisations need to become much more adaptable and resilient to thrive during the pandemic’s aftershocks. Our GOH will discuss how ADB has strengthened her digital capabilities while serving her in the South East Asian region  against a backdrop of continuous disruption.

  • Shirin Hamid, Director General, Asian Development Bank

Digital leaders must be able to seize new opportunities rapidly and act to create value. Equally, they must ensure that their organisations remain resilient against cyber threats and pandemic aftershocks. This presentation will reinforce the importance of having a strategy in a digital world and not just a digital strategy. The keynote will also highlight mistakes made by organisations in Asia and share best practices to avoid the current 67% failure rate for digital transformations.

  • Robin Speculand, Chief Executive, Bridges Business Consultancy; Author of ”World’s Best Bank – A Strategic Guide to Digital Transformation”
  • Michael Gorriz, Group Chief Information Officer, Standard Chartered Bank
Covid-19 has accelerated the shift towards digitalisation. It has forced companies to adapt and change the way they operate, almost overnight. As well, as widespread remote working, companies also need to use new digital tools while managing security risks. It is challenging for organisations to pivot to new ways of working. This session will discuss the need for a new type of leadership. It will highlight how leaders need to be flexible, adaptable and to embrace continuous learning, against a background of disruption and rapid digitalisation.

AI and machine learning (ML) are at the core of the digital revolution. These technologies are providing organisations with better insights, better decisions and enhanced competitive advantage. Digital enterprises now depend on these technologies to grow and prosper. This panel session will discuss how AI and ML are being used to create value for businesses today and how these technologies are increasingly being used to power digital enterprises.

Digital transformation and the pandemic have severely impact how traditional technologies protect an organisation. As organisation transit into the post-COVID world and people are returning to the offices, some pandemic-era trends may be here to stay. No matter what the post-COVID world looks like, protecting people—wherever and however they work— will be an ongoing challenge.

Proofpoint deployments around the globe analyse trillions of data points across all the digital channels that matter, providing visibility into threat actors activities, behaviours, and their target. In this keynote, you will hear about the shift in threat landscape and how a people-centric defence can make users more resilient, mitigate attacks and manage privilege.

Philip Sow, Sales Engineering Manager, South Asia & Korea, Proofpoint

In turbulent times, digital resilience and cybersecurity are becoming ‘top of mind’ issues. Emerging technologies are helping organisations to become more resilient by, for example, enabling remote working and much greater digital engagement. But, this is creating a much larger attack surface for threat actors. This panel will discuss how organisations can become more resilient and how they can mitigate cybersecurity risks with a zero-trust strategy.

As companies digitalise, often using similar technologies, innovation can be engendered by applying practices from one industry and applying it to another. For example, payments are increasingly moving online across all industries. Companies increasingly seek innovative, frictionless and convenient payment methods to boost sales and increase operational efficiencies. This presentation will focus on digital innovation and how this can be driven by cross sector collaboration.

  • Tobias Puehse, Innovation & Customer Solutions Asia Pacific, Mastercard

Innovation will spur companies to create new digital experiences and bring new ideas to market faster and respond more rapidly to customer demand. While the likes of SaaS and cloud platforms today provide a dedicated digital experience for almost every customer need there is out there, tech leaders need to architect their technology systems to support an increasingly interconnected and geographically dispersed network of cross-sector partners. This panel session will discuss key technology foundations that ensure new innovations can be delivered in a secure, scalable and agile manner.

For the sport of Formula 1, Red Bull Racing Honda, and all their technical partners, 2020 was a year filled with uncertainty, disruption, ever-changing timelines, and a complete shift from a traditional working model to a remote working model. Red Bull Racing Honda quickly adapted, learned, and, arguably, benefited from the restrictions put in place by both Formula 1 and the UK government. Learn how Red Bull Racing Honda relied on their Innovation Partners such as Citrix, to provide the right tools and infrastructure to enable their team to stay agile.

Blockchain is beginning to deliver on its promise as a new technology foundation on which the new ‘trust economy’ can be developed. While the technology holds massive potential and is beginning to see promising adoption in governments and large private sector organisations, widespread adoption of blockchain is still in its nascency. This panel will draw insights from blockchain experts and demystify how organisations get started on building new digital experiences with blockchain.
